Our greatest responsibility to the next generations, detailed in Psalm 78, is to make known to them the glorious realities of God's holy Word. Passing on the faith begins with biblical literacy, the focus of Truth78's "From Childhood You Have Known" conference in Louisville, KY, October 18-19, 2019.
We've provided here links for the video of the plenary sessions and audio and handouts for the breakout seminars.
Suppose an observer came to visit your church’s Sunday school classrooms—specifically first grade through high school. Would they see Bibles in the hands of every student during the lesson time? If so, how long will those Bibles be open? Will the students be actively engaged in looking up texts, reading, and answering questions from the text?
Imagine a children’s ministry conference permeated with deep teaching, exhortation, and encouragement from God’s Word. A conference with vision casting that provides a renewed sense of focus, urgency, and passion for the faith of the next generations and practical help for “making it happen” in your family and local church. Yes, we believe that you will experience all of these things at our conference in Louisville October 18-19. But there is also an element that I find enduringly precious and satisfying at our conferences—the camaraderie!
Will the next generations trust Christ?
Will they stand firm in His truth?
The "From Childhood You Have Known" conference has been designed to inspire and equip parents and teachers to acquaint the next generation with the holy, life-giving, all-satisfying Word of God.
From the very beginning of Truth78’s ministry, we have been challenged, guided, inspired, and sustained by these words from Paul to Timothy:
You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:10-17)
When it comes to understanding and articulating cultural shifts in light of biblical truth, Dr. Albert Mohler is a welcome source of clarity, exhortation, and encouragement. Joe Eaton wrote a summary of Dr. Mohler’s message Holding Fast to the Whole Counsel of God Under Pressure to Conform from our last National Conference, which pointed to three Ds from Deuteronomy 6 that we, as parents and teachers, can take to heart.
The dominant culture tends to replicate itself in each new generation. This is why Paul calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12). The last thing that should surprise us is that our children are going to grow up to look like the culture around them…unless a great work is done. Deuteronomy 6 tells us how we can influence our children biblically to remain steadfast in an ungodly culture. Three key words guide us through this text.
After months of planning and preparation, we are excited to announce that on April 10 Children Desiring God will officially become Truth78, an independent 501(c)3 organization structured to more strategically fulfill our mission to equip the next generations to know, honor, and treasure God. We will mark this launch on April 10 with a new website, new resources, and a special launch event.
The name Truth78 connects us to Psalm 78, which has been a signature text defining our ministry over the past 20 years. Psalm 78 charges us to take this testimony we've received from our fathers and faithfully pass it on to the next generation so that they would set their hope in God.
Ever since Children Desiring God was established as a ministry of Desiring God in 1998, these two ministries have shared a similar name, typeface, and color palette. Over the past 20 years, however, as Children Desiring God grew more broadly as a developer of curriculum, the Fighter Verses™ Scripture memory tools, family discipleship resources, and vision-casting and training, Desiring God has increasingly focused its emphasis on spreading a passion for the supremacy of God through resources on DesiringGod.org.
Raising children in the fear and admonition of the Lord is a noble and supremely challenging task. Children Desiring God is excited to join Crossings Ministries in coming alongside you with resources and encouragement to help you in your parenting endeavors! We want to show you how to stay centered on the Gospel and equip you to use God's word to teach, instruct, discipline, and encourage your children as they learn to navigate the culture and face the challenges of growing up.
Join us at one of the two special Leading with Love events on November 4 in Hardin, Ky. or on November 11 in Louisville, Ky. You will hear from featured speakers Chap Bettis,

We are excited to be sharing the content from our 2016 National Conference. Check back each Wednesday to view a new plenary session (along with discussion questions and action steps) to help you better understand how to persevere in teaching the whole counsel of God to the next generation.
In his message, “Declaring the Whole Counsel of God to the Next Generation,” Pastor Mark Vroegop encourages us to declare the whole counsel of God to our students and children. In the
