What is your hope for the children in your life and how might you use a day focused on Psalm 78 for their eternal joy?
Thankfully, many churches have been able to resume a more normal schedule for children’s and youth ministry this year, including special events such as youth retreats, holiday celebrations, and more. These events can be wonderful additions to the regular, ongoing discipleship programs of the church. However, it’s important to create and plan these events within the overall vision in mind.
Join us for an evening with David Michael, Sally Michael, and Jill Nelson to glean wisdom and insight into growing zeal for the intentional, comprehensive discipleship of the next generation.
In case you missed it, Truth78 broadcasted a virtual ministry event on October 29th focused on striving side by side for the faith of the next generation. The event featured Truth78 Executive Director David Michael, Desiring God Co-Founder Jon Bloom, Truth78 Chief Translation Coordinator Suresh Singh, and more. You can watch a replay of the event here:
Come celebrate with us, hear stories of impact from those who are actively pursuing the faith and everlasting joy of the next generation, and be encouraged in our shared mission. Be spurred on in this good work, learn practical ways we can continue to partner together, and commit to labor with us so that the next generation would set their hope in God.
Our greatest responsibility to the next generations, detailed in Psalm 78, is to make known to them the glorious realities of God's holy Word. Passing on the faith begins with biblical literacy, the focus of Truth78's "From Childhood You Have Known" conference in Louisville, KY, October 18-19, 2019.
We've provided here links for the video of the plenary sessions and audio and handouts for the breakout seminars.
Suppose an observer came to visit your church’s Sunday school classrooms—specifically first grade through high school. Would they see Bibles in the hands of every student during the lesson time? If so, how long will those Bibles be open? Will the students be actively engaged in looking up texts, reading, and answering questions from the text?
Imagine a children’s ministry conference permeated with deep teaching, exhortation, and encouragement from God’s Word. A conference with vision casting that provides a renewed sense of focus, urgency, and passion for the faith of the next generations and practical help for “making it happen” in your family and local church. Yes, we believe that you will experience all of these things at our conference in Louisville October 18-19. But there is also an element that I find enduringly precious and satisfying at our conferences—the camaraderie!
Will the next generations trust Christ?
Will they stand firm in His truth?
The "From Childhood You Have Known" conference has been designed to inspire and equip parents and teachers to acquaint the next generation with the holy, life-giving, all-satisfying Word of God.
From the very beginning of Truth78’s ministry, we have been challenged, guided, inspired, and sustained by these words from Paul to Timothy:
You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:10-17)
