REVISED 2024: Wisdom Quest (formerly Wisdom Calls Aloud) is a Backyard Bible Club / Vacation Bible School curriculum, which can also be used in a camp setting for children to discover biblical wisdom and the fear of the Lord. This study teaches them to love what is good and right and to pursue the path of wisdom. These 5 lessons are intended to be used with elementary-age children.

Every day, children are confronted with the opposing calls of wisdom and foolishness. Which will they follow? Will they follow the call of foolishness, which leads to death and destruction, or the call of wise, which leads to favor and life?  Will they see wisdom as a treasure worth seeking with all their hearts? Will they fear the LORD, and begin to walk on the path of wisdom? Only through the work of God’s Spirit in their hearts will they discover the joy of knowing Jesus and stand in awe of His greatness and goodness, which will set them on the path of wisdom. As your children explore
the truths in Wisdom Quest urging them to love what is good and right and to pursue the path of wisdom, pray that they will meet the One who is the source and giver of true wisdom.

The fear of the LORD is the
beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. (Proverbs 9:10)

Wisdom Quest contains five lessons, colorful visuals, and engaging application discussion questions. Optional activities have been intentionally
designed to offer variety and reinforce the key points of the lesson, including a map activity and a journal for children to work on throughout the duration of
the study. Both the map activity and the journal highlight key curriculum concepts. The journal is available in two versions: one for younger children (Kindergarten through 2nd grade) and one for older children (3rd through 6th grades). Wisdom Quest is ideal for use in Vacation Bible School, Backyard Bible Club, and camp settings.

To help leaders discuss the gospel at a deeper level with children, the kit includes 1 Helping Children to Understand the Gospel booklet and 1 The Greatest Treasure! booklet. 

Scripture quotations are primarily from the English Standard Version of the Bible.

However, if a different individual is using the curriculum at a later date and you have asked the previous user to delete the file (and destroy or return any print copies), the resource may be assigned to a different individual.

The resource files included with each kit (not including the Teacher's Guide) may be shared with the co-teachers, small group leaders, and parents in the class as explained by the licensing information in the kit.

This full-color reusable map poster is designed to be used with the Wisdom Quest curriculum during the lesson presentation with poster pieces to add over the course of the study. The classroom map is made of premium vinyl with a display size of 38” wide and 60” tall. (The poster is 38” x 80” when it is shipped, but you’ll be cutting off a portion of the poster to
cut out the map pieces to attach to the map while you teach each lesson.)

This resource covers: preparing the hearts of children to hear the gospel, discerning stages of spiritual growth, communicating the essential truths of the gospel, and presenting the gospel in an accurate and child-friendly manner.
